67th Avenue Corridor - Construction Info
Current Construction Info: (March 10, 2026)
The City of Peoria has contracted with Sundt Construction for the 67th Avenue Corridor Improvement Project, Pinnacle Peak to Happy Valley Road, with the following work currently taking place or planned:

67th Avenue traffic is currently shifted to the east side of the road with lane restrictions in place, as crews work on the west side of 67th Avenue to complete installing drainage and irrigation components, and decomposed granite (DG) along the west side of 67th Avenue.

Scheduled to take place Tuesday, March 17, traffic will be shifted to the WEST side of 67th Avenue, one lane in each direction with left turns restricted, for work to begin on storm drain installation across 67th Avenue and begin construction of the east side of 67th Avenue.

Scheduled to begin Thursday, March 19, crews will mill (remove) asphalt and subsurface material on the east side of 67th Avenue. During the milling, access will be maintained to driveways or side streets on the east side of 67th Avenue.

​Scheduled to begin the week of March 30, crews will continue installation of the six 54" pipes from the wash on the east side of 67th Avenue, crossing 67th Avenue diagonally in a southwesterly direction toward Hatfield Road. Grading will also begin to excavate for catch basins as part of the drainage improvements.

Crews also continue work at the Pinnacle Peak basin, to install pipe rail fencing. This work is expected to be complete in the summer.

To accommodate the construction, speed limits in 67th Avenue, from Pinnacle Peak Road to Hatfield Road, are reduced to 30mph for the safety of travelers, construction crews, and nearby residents and businesses.

​​Access to residences and businesses is being maintained during this work, although it may not be the most direct route. Please be aware that construction schedules can be impacted by a variety of factors to include weather, materials scheduling, and availability of resources. ​​Thank you for your patience during this work.​
